What is Creatine?

I’m sure most of you want to know what is and when should I take creatine well let me tell you, you came to the right place.Creatine is one of the most studied supplement and has been around forever. Just to make this simple and easy to get creatine supplementation boosts levels of creatine that your body holds. Your muscle tissue stores creatine as phosphocreatine. If you don’t know what phosphocreatine it is used during high-intensity exercises, this can include activities such as lifting weights. Phosphocreatine provides you with more energy to execute a better workout. Creatine also pulls water into your muscle cells which makes you look more bulk, increasing the protein synthesis in your muscles.

When do I Take Creatine?

How should I take creatine? or when do I take creatine? Many people that take creatine in a “loading” faze. This means taking extra 6-8 grams or so for the first 8 or so days taking the creatine about 4 times throughout the day. After the loading fazes is over they lower to around 12 grams. When you drop back down to normal servings personally I think the best way to take creatine is to split it up. Meaning 30 minutes to an hour before working out take a half serving, then right after you’re done, alongside with your protein. Reasoning to a loading phase is it will help to see quicker results. Creatine will add a few pounds of water weight at first into your muscles. About a week or so once your body has plenty of water in your muscles you should see improvements in your strength. Creatine is not a supplement that will give strength right away you have to give it time. There is a possibility your body won’t react to creatine as good as others so keep that in mind when using creatine. One of the most important things when using creatine make sure you drink plenty of water throughout the day.

Does Creatine really work?

Does creatine really work? Overall creatine allows you and the muscles to work harder. Taking a step back creatine does not work the same as caffeine, It does not give you instant energy it will help with working harder. Creatine is no instant formula that you can take to get ripped in a short amount of time, nor is it an answer for bigger muscles, but over time it can definitely help you get to where you want. I will give you an example of when creatines affective. Say that you can complete more reps and lift heavier weights, then you will get stronger from your muscles tearing as an end result your muscles will get bigger. Looking at the big picture creatine is definitely worth a shot but don’t expect instant results and remember everybody body can react differently with creatine.
